Psilocybin ceremonies allow individuals to explore their inner landscape, heal and gain new perspectives, resulting in a deeper connection with the soul. The Elemental Breathwork Breakthrough Experience activates the integration process after our plant medicine ceremonies, so that we can more fully process and integrate our experiences, leading to a more profound and long-lasting transformation. You’ll also feel the magic of the amazing jungle and nature excursions to the beach and national parks which provide a grounding and rejuvenating experience, connecting you with the natural world and fostering a deeper appreciation for all of the gifts we receive from Pachamama.

About the Medicine:
Psilocybin & Diaphragmatic Breathwork.
Psilocybin ceremonies are considered sacred, offering individuals a unique and transformative experience that can promote personal growth, transformation, and spiritual connection.
Psilocybin mushrooms have been used for centuries by indigenous cultures for spiritual and therapeutic purposes. The earliest recorded use of psilocybin mushrooms dates back to indigenous civilizations in Central and South America, where they were used in shamanic ceremonies and for medicinal purposes. Today, psilocybin is being researched for its potential benefits in treating mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and PTSD, and for promoting spiritual growth and personal transformation.
Our psychedelic assisted ceremonies will be led by Dr. Andrea Pennington of Conscious Evolution and Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner, John Jacob Mubarak, Founder of Sacred Truth tours. This will allow you to explore your inner landscape and gain new perspectives, resulting in greater clarity and zest for life. Breathwork is an incredibly effective tool for integrating the experiences gained from plant medicine ceremonies. The breath will guide and assist you to process and integrate emotions that may have surfaced during the ceremony. It will help facilitate the integration of new insights, perspectives, or self-discoveries; release past traumas that may have been triggered during the ceremony, allowing for a more complete healing experience. Breathwork fosters a connection between the mind and body, promoting relaxation and helping to reduce stress and anxiety, and will help ground you, bringing you back to the present moment and stabilizing your energy after the heightened experiences of ceremony.

Daily Itinerary

Prior to the retreat, we will gather online over Zoom March 12th & 26th to get to know each other better, set individual and collective intentions, and go over all of the details in preparation for the ceremony.
It is often said that the ceremony begins once we say “YES” to the call. Start paying attention to the little synchronicities and opportunities for lessons that arise after having committed to this trip.
In addition, you will continue to be supported after the retreat with 4 follow up group integration calls from April 16th to May 28th!

For those arriving to Costa Rica before April 3rd, You will be able to stay at the resort or select a hotel/AirBnB of your choosing. Please let us know and we can assist you with arrangements.

Upon arrival in Liberia, Costa Rica, you will be picked up by our driver and head to the resort in Playa Ostional where we will have a Welcome Dinner!
Transport from the airport is included in your retreat on April 3rd. If you arrive earlier, we can help you arrange your own transportation.

Apr 4, 2023
We will meet for a gentle Morning Sadanah (breathwork and movement) - the most respectful way to wake up the nervous system. After breakfast we will head out for an excursion and explore the wilds of Nosara with an experienced naturalist guide as we explore the intricate workings of tropical ecology. Be on the lookout for howler monkeys, iguanas, coatis, raccoons, armadillos....and many bird species!
After lunch, we will have an opening ceremony, & medicine talk, free time and a group dinner.

After Morning Sadanah and Breakfast, we will have a powerful workshop led by DeaEss 1Dreah. After the workshop, we will enjoy a lite lunch in preparation for our ceremony. You’ll have free time in the afternoon and your first mushroom Ceremony in the evening.

After breakfast we will leave for an amazing adventure in one of Costa Rica’s Amazing national Parks exploring caves and an amazing network of hiking trails and indigenous history.
Combining the amazing energy of the rich Costa Rican jungles along with the power of our breath, we will anchor even deeper into the evolution and transformation we are experiencing on this retreat.

After Morning Sadnah and Breakfast, we will have a powerful workshop led by John Jacob Mubarak. After the workshop, we will enjoy a lite lunch in preparation for our ceremony. Free time in the afternoon and Ceremony in the evening.

We will gather for our final Morning Sadnah. After breakfast we will gather for a closing group and prepare for departure around 1PM. Transportation to the Liberia airport or The Hilton Garden Inn near the airport is included on this day. If you would like to stay longer in Costa Rica, this is a wonderful time to continue your integration in this spectacular landscape!

Prior to booking your trip, we will schedule a discovery call with you, to answer any questions and make sure that every attendee is a good fit for this retreat.

Prior experience with plant medicine is not required. It is helpful if you have a meditation or breathwork practice but an open mind goes a long way! We will provide a safe container for you to enter into relationship with the “little teachers”, as the beloved Marie Sabina called them.

Costa Rica is considered a safe country to visit. Travelers to Costa Rica are recommended to exercise the usual travel precautions (storing valuable items in the room safe, keeping an eye on personal bags while moving around the city, etc…)

While there is no known lethal dose of psilocybin mushrooms, there are some conditions that may require medical attention, so for the Activate & Elevate retreat if you have any of the following conditions, you will not be permitted to take mushrooms in the ceremonies.
Contraindications to using psilocybin mushrooms include:
Personal history of psychosis or other severe mental illness
Taking certain medications, such as antidepressants or antipsychotics
Having a history of heart disease or high blood pressure
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Substance abuse or addiction
It's important to talk to a doctor or mental health professional before using psilocybin, especially if you have any of the above conditions or risk factors.
